Man...it is frightening how dependent I am on the internet....for everything.
My cable internet has not been the "always on" connection it is supposed to be....and it is driving me bonkers. I won't bore you with all of the details but suffice it to say I am not a happy customer....not a happy camper....not happy at all.
Supposedly (again) a technician will be here tomorrow. They were supposed to come today and then the problem was "fixed" and I was happy. I waited a few hours and then cancelled the appointment...I kid you not 15 minutes after the tech was cancelled I had no internet again! Of course now there was no tech available until tomorrow between 2 and 6. I almost lost my head.
Seriously....I found myself SO upset. This has been going on since before we left for vacation...it is not OK with me on any level. As I was pacing and swearing and overall having a fit today, Todd looked at me and said "calm down mom, its no big deal".
Pretty bad when a not quite 4 year old who will throw a fit if you don't have the right character underwear clean, is the mature one don't you think?
So we had a low-tech afternoon....we played Play-Doh, we put together a cute halloween garland, we even baked cookies. I gotta tell you...it was enjoyable....really enjoyable!! I sat there stringing those silly foam shapes on string and forgot all about COMCAST and all of the frustration.
Don't get me wrong...I won't be tossing out the computer any time soon! At the moment I am back online and I REALLY want this to get resolved once and for all, especially because I have a couple of BIG reasons to need to be online!
- ABC's and 123's starts this week! Woo Hoo!! (there is still time to register..so head on over to Big Picture if you haven't checked it out yet)
- and I am beyond thrilled to share that I have been asked to join the fabulous DT at Scrapsupply. This is seriously an awesome site great boards and galleries and a killer store. I am so excited to be a part of the team.
So for now I am back up and running....and hoping to stay that way....but even once it is fixed I need to remember to unplug once in a while and have a low-tech afternoon!

Have fun with your class. Congratulations on the Scrapsupply gig, sounds awesome!
