Oh boy...(or girl)

Most likely girl.

Don't get too excited...this isn't THAT kind of announcement.

It is kind of big news though. First, you may remember, I was going to leave this whole dog thing up to fate because I really wanted a yellow lab. Then Fiona's mom had her puppies and they were all black.

So I did a little research and figured we'd let go of the whole yellow thing and we'd get a black female. Then the official count ended up one female and 8 males which was kind of a bummer....but I went along and we went for a little visit .

Since then we've been on the list to get second pick of the litter and planning to just go with the flow and get another black lab, maybe the one female and if not maybe another black male after all.

I thought I was ok with that plan.

Then today some research I had done led to a phone call about another litter of pups...all yellow...an hour an a half away....ready to go this weekend...championship parents....4 girls...5 boys....we can choose from all 9...and the cutest dang emailed photos ever...sigh.

So the afternoon was spent in research/ soul search mode and we are going to "look" at the yellow litter on Sat.

Yes I do realize that "look" most likely means coming home with...but I'm still saying "look"!!

I did work on my 12 photos on the 12th today, but go so sidetracked with cute puppy photos and web searches for good dog names that I didn't download the photos. I will share my 12 on 12 on the 13th...that still counts right?

Hi Lisa...good luck with the new puppy (you know you'll be coming home with one...lol) We got a puppy from the local shelter last summer and he has been a total terror...oops..I mean joy. He's a lab pointer mix (looks like a yellow (white) lab with orange freckles) (he's all over my blog.) I had forgotten how much I missed having a dog in my life...and he's given me lots of great excuses to buy new shoes...lol
