scrappy plans...

I haven't forgotten to post about the whole painting project that is going on around here, we just aren't quite to "after" photos just yet. Todd's room is totally coming together though and the very bright orange walls are growing on me. I can't wait to see the green that is going in the living room tomorrow. Hopefully by this time tomorrow I will be sharing photos.

The other fabulous thing about getting Todd's room re-organized is that a lot of his stuff has been in my office for a while now and I'm ready to reclaim that space so that I can do some creating. I'm feeling a serious creative withdrawal lately. I didn't have a very crafty December and while it has been ok to step back and take a little break, I am SO ready to get back to it.

Which brings me to my project for the year ideas. I've played around with whether I wanted to tackle the photo-a-day/ project 365 thing. I did take 365 photos in 2007, and I blogged 365 times in 2008...so I've been toying with what to do for 2009. After failing in my bid to take 365 photos for a second year in 2008 (I only posted until March and took photos through May) I've decided not to go that route again, but I still wanted to capture the year somehow. So this is my plan.

I am going to participate in the 52 week gratitude project. I think it might be a little bit more manageable to do something weekly rather than daily, and I love the idea of being more grateful and realizing just how much I have to be grateful for!

I also want to do a monthly photo project, Last year I loved seeing Kim Kesti tackle the 12 on 12 project, so I think I'm going to try to do the same. I think it will be really fun to take 12 photos on the 12th of each month.

So that is my plan.

And speaking of scrapping. The January newsletter is up at Scrapsupply. Here are a couple of my contributions.

How daring you are...but I love all the bright colors in your house! I once had a red, white and blue kitchen, complete with a bright red sink. We referred to it as the OMG Kitchen because that was usually people's reactions when they walked in for the first time...OMG good or OMG bad. LOL. And I loved your clever ideas on the Escalation Point page...too cute! So glad to see that you'll be doing the Gratitude Project and I hope you'll share what you create.
