So, I can only do 3 people, 12 times and we may occasionally throw in a dog...but when I saw this idea I totally wanted to join in. It is pathetic how few photos I have of the three of us...although after trying to get one today with the self timer, I see why it is that there are so few. This was the best I got with my less than stellar set up...but I've got 11 more tries to get better at it.
So even though it is Feb 2, I am calling this January...so lets see...January 2010.
-The three of us were in the middle of "teamwork" housecleaning and I asked them to stop for a quick photo. We cut off our heads in some, had a dog's butt in others and this was the only shot with all 3 of our faces visible and really I'm the only one remotely in focus. I almost was going to opt for a reshoot...but I want this project to be real...and this was the moment. Today...at 4:30 pm this is us today...moments after this one of us was picking up matchbox cars, one was plugging in a vacuum and the third was washing down a kitchen counter. Us...busy but happy...and a little bit blurry.
-Matt is getting over a cold as we take this photo...I love that man, but Todd and I had the same cold last week and breezed through...him, not so much. Good thing he's cute...like today I was driving out to work and singing along with the radio, I glanced to my left and there he was, in his work truck...a total surprise in that place and that time, looking all important, and frankly pretty dang hot. I even had to call to tell him so. In this photo he is wearing his rattiest T-shirt...but he loves it because I brought it back for him from a business trip to Vegas when we were first dating almost 13 years ago.
-Todd was "green" at school this particular day, he wasn't green very many days in January. Most of the infractions are pretty minor. This month he learned to blow a bubble in his gum...this has taken months to accomplish and at the moment, every bubble is cause for celebration. He has one almost loose tooth and I'm trying to enjoy his beautiful baby tooth smile before it is gone.
-I survived month one of the "year of me"...my workouts are getting harder in some ways and easier in others. I would say that the honeymoon phase is over, but I'm committed to the relationship. When I first saw this photo and how out of focus the boys are I was bummed but then I realized that since I'm in so few photos and it is the year of me after all, it is cool that I'm the only one remotely clear. Heh.
